Global Health Education Consortium (GHEC) is creating more than 100 peer-reviewed global health modules on various topics in global health. The modules are available on the GHEC website and include PowerPoint slides (in Macromedia Flash. format) backed up by supplementary notes, case studies, and often, an end-of-module quiz. These are primarily geared towards medical students, although new modules are being developed for residents in the future.

Baylor Pediatric AIDS: Excellent online HIV curriculum with cases and questions at the end of each chapter.

Swansea with University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. Five e-Learning modules on: Global Burden of Disease, TB, malaria, HIV/AIDS, Obesity, and an Introduction to Parasitology. They were designed mainly for individual study by medical students at the two collaborating institutions.

USAID: There are currently 15 modules on global health with an aim to have 48 modules. This website has fun interactive quizzes in each part of the module, with simple presentations.

University of North Carolina, “Nutrition in Medicine” series: This is an impressive high-end web-based teaching module with Flash macromedia and includes audio, streaming video, interactive quizzes and drop-down windows.

Johns Hopkins School of Public Health: Some of Johns Hopkins School of Public Health’s most popular courses are available at the OpenCourseWare (OCW) project.

The Supercourse: Epidemiology, the Internet and Global Health (University of Pittsburgh). This course is a repository of lectures on public health and prevention, with over 3,000 non-peer-reviewed powerpoint lectures.
