East African Diploma Course in Tropical Medicine

The East African Diploma Course in Tropical Medicine offers a uniquely rich environment for learning tropical medicine. Students receive quality instruction from internationally renowned faculty in a setting that suffers from a high burden of tropical illnesses. The course offers a range of educational opportunities, including didactic sessions, hands-on microscopy training, bedside teaching, public health training, and field trips to a selection of specialized care centers throughout the region. It provides participants insight into the challenges of caring for patients in areas with limited medical resources and infrastructure, and the impact of tropical illnesses on the lives of patients, their families and communities. In addition, the course allows care providers from all over the world to learn together in a collaborative setting, sharing their own unique perspectives, experiences and cultures.
